Sculptures and paintings by Luciano Longo and Vladimir Kara
Cloister of San Francesco’s monastery - Treviso (Italy)
The artist Luciano Longo, in collaboration with Tantarte association, will exhibit his art works in Treviso together with stranger artists beginning in this exhibition with the French-Russian painter Vladimir Kara.
Both artists share their activity as set designer and their attention to themes concerning light and atmosphere. Both artists are also characterized by a poetic always opened to external influences, a style going beyound regional and national boundary.
Vladimir Kara
Artist and set designer, he was born in Moscow on 22 April 1956 and from 1985 he lives and works in Paris.
His works are permanently exhibited at the SAPHIR Gallery in Paris and at the FYR Gallery in Florence.
Kara exhibited his works in solo exhibitions in well know European and Italian art-spaces and galleries.
Kara realized set designs and dresses for number of European theaters and acting companies as the Town Teater of Florence, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Opera Bastille of Paris.
The work of Vladimir Kara is based on relationship between weft and painting, between object and mouvement. Classical and symbolic subjects indicate his original Russian training but he was also strongly influenced by the avantgarde painting of the European Twentieth Century.
